Choice of short or long hike. Hike starts at 1:30 PM, social and singing at 3:00 PM Meet at the bulletin board at the park entrance. The Sleeping Giant Park is on Mt. Carmel Avenue in northern Hamden, on the left-hand side, about ¼ mile in from Whitney Avenue (Rt. 10). Hikers should wear comfortable, supportive shoes and bring snacks and water, as desired and dress for the weather. Please do not bring pets. The hikes are open to the public, and there is no fee. We'll be going up the backside of Talcott Mountain to the Pavilion from Reservoir 6 off Rt. 44. Meet at Avon Fisher Meadows Rec area parking lot on Old Farms Rd just east of Rt. 10 (or at 9:15 at the very back of Reservoir 6 off Rt 44 in the parking lot by the water tanks with the view of Hartford) Back to the cars by noon-ish?
