"Unofficial", Holcomb Farm West Trails, W. Granby
Meet at the municipal parking lot in Collinsville (Rt. 179 & Front St.,
across from the Station House coffee shop) to carpool, or at the Farm (Simsbury
Rd. & Day St. South) at 9. About 4 miles on mostly level trails with a
few hills. Return about 1:30. Bring snacks, lunch and plenty of water. L:

Rd. & Day St. South) about 9:10. About 4 miles on mostly level trails with a

Sunday,
July 18, 9:00 am, SG, A Midsummer Day’s Hike
Meet at the bulletin board at the park entrance. The Sleeping Giant Park is
on Mt. Carmel Avenue in northern Hamden, on the left-hand side, about ¼ mile in
from Whitney Avenue (Rt. 10). Hikers should wear comfortable, supportive shoes
and bring snacks and water, as desired and dress for the weather. Please do not
bring pets. The hikes are open to the public, and there is no fee. CL:

Sunday,
July 18, 9 a.m., PSF, Agnes Bowen and Charles Pack Trails in Peoples
State Forest.
We will be exploring forest history by reading the landscape clues.
Meet at Matthies Grove (main picnic area) at People’s State Forest.
Bring
water and insect spray. Heavy rain cancels. We will be walking about 2 miles of

Meet at 8:30AM on Pinnacle Rd. Farmington (off Rt. 6 just west of Tilcon's
gravel operation). Bring plenty of water and snacks. We should be back to the
