Sunday, July 16, 9:00am, SG, A Midsummer Day’s Hike
All hikes are open to the public. Hike will leave from the bulletin board at the Sleeping Giant Park entrance on the north side of Mt. Carmel Avenue in northern Hamden, about 0.5 mile east of Whitney Avenue. Hikers should wear comfortable, supportive shoes and bring snacks and water, as desired. No pets, please.
Tuesday, July 18, 9:00am, LH, Farmington River Trail - Burlington to Collinsville
Meet at River Trail parking lot on Rt. 4, just S of junction with Rt. 179 in Burlington. We will hike from there to the new boardwalk near the canoe rental store in Collinsville. L: Len Berton

Quite level and cool hike around this lovely pond. May have to pull Diana off the blueberry bushes or we'll be there all day. Meet at Burlington municipal parking lot adjacent to the Little League field on Library Lane (off Rt. 4 at library sign). We should get to the Burr Pond boat launch parking lot about 9am, should anyone want to go there directly. Water essential and snacks suggested. L: Diana Meyer
