Sesame jasper owls & Brazilian amazonite
Twenty inches of graduated Brazilian amazonite interspersed with black saucer beads surround sesame jasper rounds, Balinese sterling beads, and three carved owls.
The silver beads are made with a method called 'granulation'. After the
shape of the bead is cast, the silversmith adds the pattern, placing tiny silver
granules individually on each bead. The island of Bali is noted for its
expertise in granulation.
